Well, when AC3 came out people had kinda grown attached to Ezio. That's one of the reasons I think Connor wasn't recieved well. I personally didn't think he was bland though the voice actor could have done a better job. He is a native Indian born to be a warrior, a hunter from birth which also explains his early parkour and combat skills. Plus he watched his mother die when he was a kid. Before you say Ezio experienced the same thing Ezio was much older than Connor, he was 17. Connor was only 4 and that can really affect someone. Now don't get me wrong I love Ezio. But I really enjoyed Connor's more serious personality. After AC3 and 4 I guess they kind of ran out of ideas so they basically did a reincarnation of Ezio named after the Italian river Arno. I think the main reason people didn't like Desmond that much is because they didn't know a lot about him. They have a chance to really correct all that stuff.
