The Athenian War Hero Boots was a pair of boots part of a set of armor created by the Greek city-state of Athens during the 5th century BCE.
During the Peloponnesian War, the boots were in the possession of Podarkes, a member of the Delian League branch of the Cult of Kosmos, and a self-proclaimed 'King of the Silver Islands'. Podarkes was slain by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who claimed the boots for her own.[1]
