| | '''Main Assassin Character''' |
| | |
| | :I see the assassin as being born around 170 in the city of Luoyang. During the sacking of Luoyang he escapes perhaps with his family or having them killed in the attack (or captured which happened). Cao Cao I would consider a patron of sorts knowing the boy from the times he was serving in Luoyang(from 175 to 189 Cao Cao was frequently serving in the capital) |
| | |
| | '''Custom Equipment''' |
| | |
| | #Hidden Blade - Was in existance at this time as had been used in Persia 700 years prior. |
| | #Jian - A double edged longsword that traditionally had a ribbon attached to the hilt. |
| | #Dagger - Typical short blade. |
| | #Poison Crossbow - The Chinese crossbow at this time was not very strong in power. Therefor the bolts were dipped in poison |
| | #Throwing Needles - Thin needles which are very common in Chinese culture. Could conceivably throw 6 at a time (3 from each hand) |
| | #Dual Kama - A more rural type of weapon. A short handle with a blade like a small scythe. Was generally used for agriculture. |
| | #Poison - See Game Play Changes. A vial of poison for special circumstances. |
| | #Ink Bottle - Similar to the smoke bomb this would instead be thrown at the targets face to temporarily blind the users. |
| | #Attire - Flowing outfits were very much the style. While looking for an example I found this [http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b26/sephiroth5271/M63307.jpg outfit] and must say it would fit perfectly. The garment is male and is loose fitting which would allow for the quick movements of a chinese assassin. The colors could be darker or lighter. Armor fitted onto it would still work well but not full plate coverings. Something over the hands and possibly across a shoulder. (If you can't tell I'm loving the outfit idea) |
| | |
| | '''Notes''' |
| | |
| | :I am very biased about this time period. So if you are familiar with the time period you may argue my choices. According to normal Chinese traditions it is correct for me to say that Cao Pi succeeded as emperor and had achieved the Mandate of Heaven. And it is also correct for me to say that Liu Bei was attempting to usurp. Within Chinese beliefs both Liu Bei and Sun Quan were both rebellions that were going on. The period is incorrectly called the three kingdoms when it should be referred to as the Wei Dynasty which was eventually succeeded by the Jin Dynasty 45 years later. |
| | |
| | '''Important Information''' |
| | |
| | :My take on the game is that Liu Bei is the grandmaster of the Templar order after the previous one Dong Zhuo dies. He has Sun Ce pass on the Seal to Yuan Shu who betrays the Order. The Seal would then be removed from Templar possession by the assassin and hidden away. He wouldn't be identified as the Templar mastermind until 199 when Liu Bei fled Xuchang. Historically Liu Bei was very traitorous. Moving between serving different lords and usurping lands. Claiming he was a relative to the Imperial house. |
| | |
| | '''Game Play Changes''' |
| | |
| | #Tea Ceremony is one of the most important chinese traditions. During this time of war there were times when Feasts or Ceremonies were used as a way to kill somebody plotting against you. So the use of poison would fit very well and include these with a means to assassinate somebody. The Ceremony could also be included as a starting point for a mission. |
| | #More improved combat. As opposed to previously where unarmed combat is more boxing style. I am seeing something more like Zhongguo wushu. And not just within unarmed combat but within using the hidden-blade. The combat should be a flowing motion as opposed to the kill one opponent then kill another. For a counter/combo kill the counter is done then more elegant and graceful movements into the kill of the next. |
| | #Similarly to AC2 where you have the Auditore Villa as a residence at first. In this game I see a residence of the assassin in the city of xuchang. Where you can have a Tea Ceremony started yourself or having a "Debate" minigame. In the culture at the time strategists would frequently have debates which could instruct game users to the history. When it comes to decorating, Vases, Statues, Art, Poetry, Books (like the art of war) could be purchased to be included into your residence. |

| | '''Main Assassin Character''' |
| | |
| | :The assassin I'm seeing is a retainer of Hidehira who I think fits well as the Mentor to the assassins under this context. |
| | |
| | '''Custom Equipment''' |
| | |
| | #Daishō - The combination of a daitō or long sword and a shōtō or short sword. At the time setting these would be a Tachi(Katana's weren't invented yet) and Tantō (Basically a dagger). Side note: A Tachi is worn with the cutting edge down, the katana with the cutting edge up. |
| | #Yumi - The traditional long bow of the Samurai. An asymmetric composite bow. |
| | #Kusarigama - A tradional weapon consisting of a Kama(sickle) and a metal chain attached. A new weapon with a relatively unique combat style. Counter attacks would involve hooking the blade in the chain and slashing with the sickle. In combo kills could see this being used as throwing the weighted end to pull an opponent into the blade. |
| | #Gunsen - A type of folding fan that were made from soldier objects with the inner spokes made of bronze or brass and the outer spokes or cover made from thin iron. For use as a weapon and for cooling ones self off. The Tessen is a similar but heavier weapon (IE maybe an upgrade?). The placing of a sharpened end would allow for slashing and make this an extremely interesting combat style |
| | #Makibishi - The Japanese versio of the caltrop. To be used similarly to say a smoke bomb as a means of escape. |
| | #Outfit - Something similar to the traditional outfit at the time the kamishimo. Armor would be the most difficult aspect of this. Something that brings a tough of the Japanese Samurai armor but not full covering so as to allow the assassin to keep most his speed and maneuverability. I also thing that a [http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b26/sephiroth5271/happuri1.jpg Happuri] would be FANTASTIC in place of a hood. |
| | |
| | |
| | '''Notes''' |
| | |
| | :This time period was very hectic so there is some bouncing around and such. I feel as though Kiyomori should definitely be a templar and that the people he fought against in the Hōgen rebellion should also be templar. This is playing off that Kiyomori later revealed he was a Templar during the Heiji rebellion. I also included Yorimasa as a templar because of his death poem being a decent final speech. And to tie it in being more that he was heading to join with his Templar brothers. |

| | #Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi is one of the three imperial regalia of Japan and according to legend the god Susanoo found this sword in the serpant Orochi. He gifted to the goddess Amaterasu who would go on to gift it and the Yata no Kagami and Yasakani no magatama to her grandson Ninigo no Mikoto. Mikoto's great grandson was traditionally the Emperor Jimmu the first emperor of Japan (Meaning the Emperors of Japan are a direct descendent of Amaterasu. So Kusanagi is Sword of Eden.. Yata no Kagami is Mirror of Eden.. Yasakani no magatama is Jewel of Eden. |
