Hello Again. I see you are making a lot of edits to your userpage. May I suggest you use the preview button located next to the publish button so that you can see how it will look like so you can change it before publishing. That way you can do all the edits you want while needing to do very few edit publishes. If you are already doing so then pay this no heed.

Redirects

Hey there, Just a heads up, when you add a link to an article, make sure it isnt a redirect. For example, [[Connor]] needs to be linked as [[Ratonhnhaké:ton|Connor]], and same goes for any other article names. Happy editing! --Fragment ^-Animus- 19:27, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Ages at Time of Death

Before I get to the point of this message, would you mind changing your lay-out for your talkpage? It's a bit... garish, and hard on the eyes :s

Anyways. I see you've been adding the ages of characters at the time of their death. While I appreciate the gesture, you've made a bit of a mistake there. If a character is born in 1476 and dies in 1503, you can't automatically say "hey, they must've been 27 years old then." IF we don't know the exact date of birth and exact date of death, we cannot determine that character's age at time of death.

For example, say that character from 1476 was born on October 10th. If they die on September 15th in 1503, they are NOT 27, they are 26.

I'd like you to double-check all the pages you've done this for, and see if a date of birth and date of death is listed. If there's only a year (no month, no date), you undo your edit, because we cannot confirm its legitimacy. Please limit yourself to only the pages you've done; for example, Lucia Marquez's page lists her as "aged 26" at the time of death, because this information was in her database entry.

Confused....

Err.....umm....Crook....I've been roaming some articles on here....and some of them say c.*insert year here* and then *insert DD/MM/YY here and age*. For example:

Born: c. 1987

Died: 13 September 2086 (aged 99)

The error is that people don't know the EXACT date of when they were born. It only says the full date on the death. Why are they doing this? MB543 (talk) 15:32, December 1, 2013 (UTC)MB543

In my opinion, people have gave me some tips on the talk page about sourcing images, formatting, and wiki contributing. And, I thought I could be under an apprentice-ship of a rafiq on this wiki right now. I see potential in becoming a better contributor here. That isn't adopting a wiki. Adopting a wiki is what you do when a wiki has been abandoned by its members, more specifically, its administrators. You then become an admin yourself, and adopt the wiki as your own. So I'm afraid you were unwittingly undermining my position and trying to become its 'head' yourself.

If you want to join the apprenticeship initiative, you have to look on this very wiki, right here, under "Recruitment", and not on Community Central. -- Master Sima Yi _Talk 20:48, November 28, 2013 (UTC)

Hello again!

Just a quick tip, you can use the preview button during edits to see whether your update will look alright. Making multiple minor edits also spams the RA feed, which can be annoying (no worries, practically everybody does that in the beginning), so making a few large edits that accomplish the same as many little edits is much better :)
