C.75000 BC - Juno, Jupiter, and Minerva are unable to stop a massive solar flare from striking the Earth, and it effectively destroys the First Civilization.
During the Peloponnesian War, some cases of cannibalism were observed. They were a consequence of the siege of Potidaia (430 to 429 BCE).

As well as food, street-sellers sold brickdust and sand, for cleaning pots and pans, doormats, brooms, sieves, penknives, rhubarb (for constipation), boot-laces, notebooks, pins, ink, toys, fire-irons and more.
Build up Adrenaline during fights by doing damage and dodging or parrying attacks.

Successful hits, dodges, and parries give you Adrenaline. Adrenaline is required to use most Abilities.
At mid-century there were 12 London pubs named Adam & Eve, 8 named Noah's Ark, 70 Crowns and 70 King's Heads, 50 Queen's Heads, 12 Prince Alberts, 6 Shakespeare's Heads, and 10 Robin Hoods.


|-|Adrenaline Cost=
Boys ran behind omnibuses leaving the railway stations, at each stop hoping to carry the bags of a descending passenger home, sometimes running 4 miles, all for a penny tip, before returning to the station.
Most Abilities require one full Adrenaline segment to be used, but Overpower Attacks require more to unleash their powerful effects.


|-|Adrestia Fast Travel=
Earn XP from unlocking Perks, resolving crowd events and completing missions and activities.
You can Fast Travel to your ship at any time from the Map Menu.


|-|Advanced Controls=
Gas street-lights were lit individually. Lamplighters carried a ladder, climbed up, turned the stopcock, held a light to it, climbed down & moved on to the next, before turning them off the same way next morning.
Some actions can be performed by double tapping movement keys. Go to controls options to set a double tap.

Many of London's rivers were built over in the 19th century. The Westbourne was culverted, now running through a metal box that can be seen by passengers waiting for the Sloane Square tube.
431 BCE saw the beginning of the Peloponnesian War between the Delian and Peloponnesian Leagues.


|-|Ancient Pirates=
On 10 January 1863, the world's first underground railway opened, running from Paddington to Farringdon Street. 50,000 people tried to travel that day, but only half managed to do so.
Pirates preferred small, light, and fast boats when raiding the Mediterranean region. In times of war, armies would hire pirates to harass their enemies.


|-|Ancient Sickness=
Performing multiple attacks in a row will increase the combo meter giving you more XP.
Malaria and tuberculosis were the most prominent diseases in ancient Greece. Chicken pox, diphtheria, mumps, and whooping cough also affected the population.

Press (X) to access the Skills menu. Spend skill points to unlock new skills and level up.
Although the alphabet is inherited from Latin, its source is the Greeks, who borrowed it from the Phoenicians, adding vowels and 24 characters.


|-|Ancient Warship=
Press (X) to counter an incoming melee attack when the enemy's health bar flashes.
A trireme was a warship maneuvered by 170 rowers manning three rows of oars. Its military purpose was to strike enemy ships with metal rams called rostra.


|-|An Aquatic Life=
Press (X) to quick throw at an enemy highlighted in yellow.
Use () while underwater to cover a short distance quickly. It's useful to move towards your objective or escape danger.


|-|Arena=
Pubs employed pot-boys to walk the streets with wooden boxes holding different types of beed, selling to householders along their route, who leant out (sic) their windows and shouted, 'Beer!'
Looking for an extreme challenge? Find the Arena in Pephka and face off against extreme fighters!


|-|The Arena=
Seek out high places to use Eagle Vision when planning infiltrations and assassinations.
According to rumours, a hidden Arena far to the south in Pephka stages tremendous fights between Warriors who don't fear death.


|-|Are You Lost?=
Smoke Bombs break enemy line of sight, creating opportunities for escape or assassination.
The compass at the top of the screen shows interesting locations, Synchronization Points, available Quests, and the Blacksmith, among other things.


|-|Arming the Hoplites=
Street-sellers congregated outside big workplaces on payday, selling "relishes” such as herring, shrimp, watercress, or clothes, tools, books and newspapers.
Ancient Greek shields were made of bronze and leather, and spears and swords of iron. Hoplites wore cuirasses, greaves, and helmets as defensive armor.

Tag enemies by looking at them in Eagle Vision. Tagged enemies can be seen through walls.
The meat of sacrificed animals could be eaten by worshippers since the gods feasted on the aroma of the roasted meat on the altar.

There were dozens of types of beer, including porter, stout, four penny ale, a 'small' (weak) beer, and cooper, half porter, half four penny ale, both of which cost 4d. a quart in 1860s.

[[Throwing knife|Throwing knives]] are a silent weapon. Hold (X) to aim and press (Y) to throw.
With this Ability, you can craft more unique and powerful arrows for knocking out, lighting on fire, or poisoning enemies.

Use throwing knives for stealth kills when crouched behind cover. Hold (X) to aim and press (Y) to throw.
Democracy, political battles, and citizens' right to speak in public led the Greek philosophers to teach public-speaking techniques.

Visit the Train Hideout often to collect income from the safe.
Using your Broken Spear, you can deal massive damage to enemies if you attack while being undetected with ().


|-|Assigned Seating=
When enemies lose sight of you, they will investigate your last known position.
To assign newly recruited Lieutenants, go to the Ship Menu and assign them.


|-|The Athenian Golden Age=
You must be anonymous to kidnap a target, otherwise they will flee.
Democracy, tragedy, comedy, medicine, history, and classical art and architecture all emerged in fifth-century BCE Athens, where philosophy also rose in status.
