I found the Hong Kong/Taiwan trailer :D. The subtitle does say ''Nikolaos'' and even 尼可拉歐斯 (Níkělā'ōusī). I think because she slurs the phonemes together, the subtitles give change how we interpret what we're hearing. Nikolas not Nikolaos
From the trailer, I really think that the name Myrinne calls him by is Nikolas not Nikolaos. Both are valid Greek forms of Nicholas. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 00:19, June 14, 2018 (UTC)
- You can clearly hear her calling him Nikolaos. The o is pretty audible. -pipewr3nch (talk) 14:06, June 17, 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, according to the subtitled UK trailer, it's Nikolaos. — Darth Dracarys (talk) 14:07, June 17, 2018 (UTC)
- The subtitled NA trailer says Nicholas though this is clearly the Anglicized form not necessarily reflective of what is spoken. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 20:07, June 17, 2018 (UTC)
- I still cannot hear any clearly audible 'o' at all no matter how much I replay it. If it is present, it is slurred with the 'a' into becoming an /au/ sound. Her accent makes it hard to distinguish from just an /a/, but there is no two-syllable /a.os/ sound. If the UK trailer does write Nikolaos then that is probably our best bet however.
