This is a pretty significant detail, honestly. It's sourced to the game ''[[Assassin's Creed: Identity]]'', but I've played the game and never encountered anything of it. In fact, Ezio only appears once in the game in a non-canonical section, and the entire game is set before ''Revelations''. Can someone verify where in the game this information is given? Statement needing Verification
"However, as Ezio never told his wife what the chest contained, she suspected Ezio intended to give Marcello an opportunity to become an Assassin, and discarded the key into a river, keeping Marcello ignorant of his heritage."
This is a pretty significant detail, honestly. It's sourced to the game Assassin's Creed: Identity, but I've played the game and never encountered anything of it. In fact, Ezio only appears once in the game in a non-canonical section, and the entire game is set before Revelations. Can someone verify where in the game this information is given?
