Zita was the mother of Zopheras and her brothers, living in Sparta in Lakonia, Greece during the 5th century BCE.
History
After helping Xanthe, the magistrate of the village of Pitana,[1] the misthios Kassandra was told that there were others in Lakonia who might use her skills. Xanthe mentioned Zita and Zopheras as one case she might look into, and Kassandra found the two arguing outside the Temple of Athena Chalkioikos in Sparta.[2]
