Yakone was an old Inuit fisherwoman, who joined Alonzo Batilla's crew in 1716. She took an oath to serve the French pirate after he had freed the seas of her people from a white whale who was attacking the Inuit's fishermen. Aboard the ship, Yakone took charge of the intendancy.
