Xerxes I of Persia (519 BCE – 4 August 465 BCE), also known as Xerxes the Great, was the son of Darius I and later the Emperor of Achaemenid Persia during the Persian War. Like his father, Xerxes I was a strong ally of the Templars.[1][2]
The Templars aided Xerxes in his suppressions of revolts in Egypt and Babylon, as well as his attempted conquest of Greece.[1] In 465 BCE, Xerxes was killed by the Assassin Darius, marking the first recorded use of the Hidden Blade.[3]
