'''View Points''' are high structures that over look the surrounding terrain. When acquired, they uncover a portion of your map and show points of interest; for instance someone to eavesdrop on to continue the game. They can be found by accessing your map, depicted by tiny eagle icons, as well as an eagle soaring around the structure itself. They often take the form of watchtowers, turrets of castles and church/temple steeples. Some have archers patrolling them, which can be a problem if they detect Altaïr before he has reached the top and they can knock him from the tower. They can be found in the Kingdom and all the cities, they however are not found in Masyaf.

Altaïr viewing a city from a View Point.

View Points are high structures that over look the surrounding terrain, found in the Kingdom and all the cities, excluding Masyaf. When climbed and activated, they will uncover a portion of your map and show points of interest within the uncovered area, including Interrogation, Eavesdropping, Pickpocketing, and Assassin Informant Investigations, as well as Save Citizen optional missions. In addition, activating one View Point will reveal the locations of all the other view points in that area, placing an eagle icon on your map.

View points often take the form of watchtowers, turrets of castles and church/temple steeples. Some have archers patrolling them, which can be a problem if they detect Altaïr before he has reached the top, as they can knock him from the tower. A pile of hay is always conveniently placed at the bottom of each view point, allowing you to perform a Leap of Faith to get down.

In the Xbox 360 version, Synchronizing with all View Points gives you the achievement Fearless.
