Thomas S. Fletcher was a surgeon at the Bromsgrove Workhouse during the mid-19th century.
Constantly treating patients for scabies, Fletcher became convinced that he could cure it with potassium sulfate. He created a treatment bath system, which, although it cured some, proved fatal to several patients, most notably the five-year-old Henry Cartwright in 1842.
