Thomas Cubitt (25 February 1788 – 20 December 1855), was an British master builder.
In 1864, British government tore down Blackfriars Bridge, determining it would be more cost-effective to simply replace the bridge than to keep repairing it as they had done for almost a century. Cubitt designed the new bridge, which was completed in 1869 and is still standing.[1]
