The Wolf's Helm was the signature Korinthian-styled helmet of the Spartan polemarch Nikolaos, who was otherwise known as the Wolf, during the 5th century BCE. The top of the helmet was adorned with a figurine of a wolf in honor of his nickname.
Following the Battle of Megara,[1] the helmet ended up in the hands of the Spartan misthios Kassandra, as she met with Nikolaos on a cliff. Kassandra used the helmet to prove to Elpenor that she had succeeded in what he'd hired her to do: kill Nikolaos.[2][3]
