The Rock was a 9th century Anglo-Saxon man from Suthsexe, England.
Circa 870s, The Rock frequented the "Rock of fertility" to help apparent infertile women with his power through Ostara in a sacred ritual. In reality, he slept with multiple desperate women and impregnated them. At one instance, a woman was accompanied by the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir to the rock, where The Rock himself greeted them. After a brief conversation between him and the woman, The Rock led her behind the rock itself and commenced his ritual.[1]
