"Donato advances, but is blocked by one of Cesare's officers. I hear Lucrezia mutter to an acquaintance. The rider is Teodor Viscardi. One of Cesare's henchmen."
Fiora Cavazza, as she watches the race.[src]

Teodor Viscardi was a member of the Templar Order during the Renaissance, loyal to Cesare Borgia.[1][2]

His genetic memories were later used by Abstergo Industries for the training of the Animus recruits, under the title of the Officer.[2]

In 1503, Teodor accompanied Cesare in a horse race, in which, on his master's behalf, he attempted to prevent the skilled horseman Donato Mancini from winning. Though Teodor attacked him with his blade in the middle of the race, Donato was able to slip past him and win the competition, much to Cesare's frustration.[1]
