The main entrance of the Temple of Demeter and Kore

The Temple of Demeter and Kore was a temple dedicated to the goddess Demeter and her daughter Kore, located in the city of Tegea within Pan's Cradle in Arkadia, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the heavily guarded temple, killing the captain there, burning supplies and claiming their valuables, including Herakles' Mace.[1]
