This article is about the temple of Apollo in Megara. For other uses, see Temple of Apollo.

The Temple of Apollo was a temple dedicated to Apollo in Megara in Megaris, Greece. After a failed assassination plot against his life in Persia, the blind Artaxerxes I sought refuge at the temple outskirts during the Peloponnesian War.
Between 431 and 422 BCE the Spartan misthios Kassandra came across Artaxerxes, unaware of his identity as the Persian King. Artaxerxes requested Kassandra to visit the various sites that the former Athenian general Themistokles had told him about, in exchange for providing details about his life to the misthios.[1]
