For instance, a Grand Master ranking was given to an individual who has scored well enough to be placed within the top 2% of those interacting in the Animi Training Program. Following this, the Master rank was awarded to the next 5% of players underneath Grand Master, meaning that Masters accompanied the top 7% of the Pyramid, and so forth.

The percentages next to the ranks represent the number of players in this particular grade out of the total multiplayer population. They are the same for all modes as well as the overall grade, on both Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
When playing in a session, a player's Templar Grade for that mode is shown next to his name. Templar Grade is also used in matchmaking in ranked sessions, ensuring that nearly equally skilled players are put together.

The Templar Scoring System was a feature in the first stage of the Animi Training Program, which was introduced with a system update. In it, a participant's Templar score was calculated over three session parameters: Free For All, Team, and Co-op.
