Armor of Achilles

The Armor of Achilles was a breastplate that was part of a set of armor in 5th century BCE Greece.

In the early years of the Peloponnesian War, it belonged to Belos, a member of the Cult of Kosmos, with the other pieces of the set divided among his fellow leaders of the Heroes of the Cult branch. As a gladiator in the Pephka Arena known as the Beast of Sparta, Belos faced the Spartan misthios Alexios in a public duel and was slain. Thereupon, Alexios seized the breastplate for his own.[1]
