The dagger paired with the Spear of Leonidas

The Talon Dagger was a dagger that was inspired by the Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare Athena, and the bird she was associated with, the owl. As such, the blade's handle was adorned with the likeness of an owl in flight.

During the Peloponnesian War, the dagger was made available to the Spartan misthios Kassandra through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories.[1]
