Altaïr's sword appears in the Monteriggioni Blacksmiths. It is available for purchase for 42,500 florins after DNA Sequence 8. The sword in the game is shorter compared to the other longswords Ezio can use; the entire sword being only a little longer than the length of his arm. However, Altaïr's sword is the strongest weapon available. Strange is that Altair's sword is the best in the game because in Assassins Creed the Syrian sword was the best Longsword; however, it is not impossible that Altair modified the sword. It is interesting to note, that in later memory sequences of the game, if and when the player has the sword equipped, it is quite easily knocked away from Ezio by Brute guards. Also of note is that the 'Old Syrian Sword' available at Blacksmiths throughout Italy, has the Eagle's head hilt of Altair's final sword in Assassin's Creed.

Real life replica of Altair's sword

Altaïr's personal sword that he uses throughout Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles, and Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines. The blade's hilt is shaped like an eagle's wings, while the blade itself is both long and agile, making it a light and deadly weapon. In the first game however, his last sword is a gold Syrian sword. This same sword is apparently the weapon of choice for the guards at Masyaf. It is also available as a weapon in Assassin's Creed II. It is unknown where the sword originated from, but it is rumored to come from Syria.

Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles

Altaïr was equipped with his sword even before the events of Assassin's Creed, using it to wipe out platoons of Templars.

Altaïr equipping his sword

Altaïr starts the game with his sword, which he is very skilled with until Al Mualim demotes him to Novice for breaking all three tenets of The Creed. His demotion decreases his skill greatly. During his progression back to his former rank, Master Assassin, Altaïr eventually regains his mastery with Longswords.

Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines

Altaïr still possesses his sword during the events after Assassin's Creed.

Assassin's Creed 2

Altaïr's sword appears in the Monteriggioni Blacksmiths. It is available for purchase for 45,000 florins after DNA Sequence 8.

Sword Stats

The Stats of the sword easily show why it is the most powerful melee weapon in the game, as all 3 stats are maxed out.
