Stephen Bean was a British citizen, who lived in London in the mid-nineteenth century.

Owning a small florist shop, Bean sold his products on Whitechapel's Fleet Street, alongside his assistant Joanna. He frequently had contact with George, the deliveryman who brought him his manure, as well as Joanna's sweetheart.

Sometime in 1868, Bean started noticing several people disappearing from the area. He was questioned about these disappearances by Detective Murphy of the Metropolitan Police Service, who himself disappeared shortly after.

Investigating the missing Detective's case, the Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye also questioned Bean, who provided them with the same information as he had given to the detective earlier, which helped the Frye twins determine who the culprit was.
