Speusippos (Greek: Σπεύσιππο; c. 408 BCE – c. 339 BCE) was an Athenian philosopher and the nephew of Plato.
Speusippos enrolled in the Academy established by his uncle, educating himself in mathematics and astronomy. He conceived a model of the physical universe that involved geometric figures and became the eventual head of the academy.[1]
