The Souk Al-Silaah was one of the biggest trading points in the city of Damascus, located in the poor district, and home to the black market of Tamir. The souk consisted of five main entrances to the market halls and a large courtyard in the middle.
In 1191, the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad infiltrated the souk in order to assassinate Tamir.
