Skíðblaðnir was a mythical longship that could fold down to pocket-size.[1]
Mythology
Seeking to curry favor with those at Asgard, Loki commissioned the dwarven blacksmiths to make a ship big enough to carry all of Asgard's finest into battle. He then gave the completed Skíðblaðnir to Freyr, who was quite pleased with it and forgave Loki's transgressions.[2]
Legacy
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time at Svartálfaheimr, the All-Father made ample use of the ship to traverse the realm and raid Muspel encampments alongside the einherjar.[3]
