Sima Qian (c. 145 or 135 - 86 BCE) was a Chinese historian. He authored the Record of the Grand Historian, an influential historical account covering more than 2,000 years of Chinese history.
During the 16th century, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze bought a copy of this book from one of the several book shops in Constantinople.[1]
