Sibrand was an altered representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories, relived by a research analyst at Abstergo Entertainment through the Animus.
Dialogue
First dialogue
- Altaïr: Hello again, Malik.
- Malik: I can't seem to be rid of you, Altaïr.
- Altaïr: How fares the city?
- Malik: Are you here for small talk? Because I have no interest.
- Altaïr: No. I am here for the Teutonic Grand Master, Sibrand.
- Malik: Ah, yes. I'm afraid the man suspects as much.
- Altaïr: What do you mean?
- Malik: It seems the deaths of his associates has made the man paranoid. He fears he is next in line, and has doubled his personal guard.
- Altaïr: Then I shall give him what he expects.
- Malik: Very well. The Teutonic Knights have moved their operation to the port, presumably because it is easily defended. But I'm sure you will have no trouble finding a path to the Grand Master.
- Altaïr: I will begin my search, then.
Failure
- Sibrand: Ha! The Assassin stumbles! You won't catch me unawares!
- Altaïr: You can't hide behind your guardsmen forever, Sibrand.
- Sibrand: I can, and I intend to.
- Altaïr: Your guards are not impenetrable. The moment there is a gap in their patrols, I will sneak through.
- Sibrand: And I will be here, ready for you.
Success
- Sibrand: You. I knew that you would come.
- Altaïr: It seems my reputation has preceded me.
- Sibrand: More importantly, you have skills to match that reputation. If only a lesser of your rank had been sent...
- Altaïr: Be flattered, then. Any other would have failed where I succeeded.
- Sibrand: Flattery? It is not overly comforting.
- Altaïr: Do not worry. You will feel comfort soon.
- Sibrand: No. I will feel nothing. For that is what awaits me.
