The Shroud of Penelope was a head armor obtained by the misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.

The shroud originally belonged to Penelope, the wife of Odysseus, who was said to have woven it and promised to choose a suitor upon its completion.[1] By the 5th century BCE, the shroud was kept in a chest in Odysseus' Palace on the Greek island of Ithaka. In 431 BCE, Elpenor tasked Kassandra to retrieve the shroud. When she did so, Elpenor requested her to keep it for herself.[2]
