The Sharp Cut was a bladed pole weapon commonly found in Egypt during the Ptolemaic dynasty. Consisting of a crescent-shaped blade attached to the end of an ornate pole by a tang at the rear center of the blade, the Sharp Cut lived up to its name, even though it was not a true polearm per se as it was short enough to be wielded with one hand. Its weight, however, usually meant that people preferred to use both hands to wield it.
During his hunt for the Order of the Ancients, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa commonly found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and on bodies and in chests during his travels throughout Egypt.[1]
