The Arch of Constantine (Italian: Arco di Constantino) is a structure within the Roman Forum.
On Constantine I's ascension to the throne in 312, after his defeat of Maxentius, the Arch of Constantine was built to commemorate his victory; most of the artwork on the arch was plundered from existing monuments and modified to alter its meaning.
