The twin ships anchored northwest across Dionysias Wharf.

The Sea of Sobek Anchorage were military triremes stationed in Lake Moeris west of Faiyum during the 1st century BCE. One of the ships had caged lions, while the other one held a large chest.

In 48 BCE, the trireme was boarded by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who eliminated the guards aboard and claimed their valuables.[1]
