Ezio, my friend! How may I be of service? This article has a lot of room for expansion. Please improve it with additional information in accordance with the Manual of Style |

Salvage is an umbrella term covering whatever is found in the sea, often floating on the surface, but also things found on the seafloor, or tossed by waves onto the shores.
During the Peloponnesian War, salvage was a source of wood and metal, as well as occasionally even obsidian glass, precious gemstones, or pieces of armor and weapons. This fact was taken advantage of by the Spartan misthios Kassandra at the suggestion of the captain of the Adrestia, Barnabas.[1]
