Gian Giacomo Caprotti, commonly known as Salaì, was Leonardo da Vinci's most famous apprentice and most likely his homosexual lover.
He was met by Ezio Auditore da Firenze while gambling in a tavern which resulted in both of them being involved in a fight with a group of Hermeticists.[1]
