The Roman Akropolis was a Roman citadel situated on a hill located in Cyrene during the 1st century BCE.
History
In 47 BCE, the Medjay, Bayek, travelled to the citadel, where he confronted Flavius Metellus, a member of the Order of the Ancients, in the temple of Mars. Despite Flavius' possession of an Apple of Eden, Bayek was able to defeat the Roman and avenge the death of his son, Khemu.[1]
In the same timeframe, Bayek assassinated a Roman centurion Cassius Albus, who desecrated the Tomb of Battos beneath the hill and stole a medallion and a bow belonging to Battus I of Cyrene. After assassinating the centurion, Bayek retrieved the medallion and the bow from a storehouse before leaving the citadel.[2]
