The Red Lion was a pub in Holborn, London, England.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1862, the Assassin Simeon Price was brought to the Red Lion to celebrate his release alongside former soldiers and later Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Talking about any news about his apprentice, Pierrette Arnaud, Price was told by Fanny Eaton that a man named Oscar Kane recently was given a ride to Bath by her husband. Learning this, he left Ms. Eaton and Rossetti at the pub to find Arnaud and to confront his former mentor.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

In reality, the pub is currently known as the Old Red Lion and has been established for nearly 300 years. Previously, the Red Lion (Red Lyon), the pub was rebuilt in 1899 and stands as the Old Red Lion.[2]
