Qulan Gal was an Assassin living during Genghis Khan's invasions. It is highly possible that he was an apprentice of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, seeing as Altaïr left for Mongolia with his family to kill Genghis Khan, who he suspected was using a Piece of Eden. He killed Genghis Khan with an arrow that hit his horse, indirectly "killing him" with his bow.
