The Poseidon Temple was a temple dedicated to the god Poseidon located on the akropolis of Chios on the island of the same name, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War, the temple was visited by the misthios Kassandra who came upon the sight of a Daughters of Artemis member named Zoe being captured and surrounded by soldiers. Kassandra killed the soldiers and freed the woman, who requested to meet her safely behind the temple.[1]
