Poppa (died 19 July 1029), also known as Poppo, was a Catholic bishop of Schleswig during the 10th century.
Biography
In 965, during the reign of Otto I, Poppa was given the Emperor's ornate dagger, in actuality the Devotion prong of the Trident of Eden, and baptized the Danish king Harald Bluetooth, before passing on the dagger to the now-Christian king as a gift from the Emperor.[1]
