The Poisoner's Dagger was a dagger which belonged to a mercenary known as the Poisoner, who worked in Athens during the Peloponnesian War. Made with slow and painful death in mind, the dagger was as deadly as its owner.
The Spartan misthios Kassandra claimed the dagger after she slew him for his involvement in providing a group of men several venomous snakes, used in the assassination attempt of Metiochos, a friend of the statesman Perikles.[1]
