The Plated Vambraces was a pair of metallic vambraces combined with multiple layers of cloth to allow for the blocking of shallow blows.
During the Peloponnesian War, the vambraces were widely sold by blacksmiths through Greece. The Spartan misthios Kassandra possibly acquired these vambraces over the course of her journeys throughout Greece.[1]
