The Pirate Scimitar was a slightly curved sword with an elaborate silver hilt, made popular by pirates in the 18th century. Assassins Edward Kenway[1] and Aveline de Grandpré,[2] as well as Templar Shay Cormac[3] were know to use these swords at times during their lives.
Also popular with privateers, these swords were sold at general stores in the Caribbean during the early part of the century[1] and in New York, the River Valley, or the North Atlantic by mid century.[3]
