The Piazza di Spagna was a landmark in Rome.

History

The future site of the famously peculiar Piazza di Spagna, this public expanse at the foot of the Spanish Steps was shaped as an elongated triangle rather than a square. Named after the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See, the Piazza became one of Rome's most popular meeting places.
