Perseus was a hero of Ancient Greece. In Greek mythology, he was revered as the hero who managed to decapitate the Gorgon, Medusa, whose gaze turns people into stone, after the Goddess Athena grew jealous of her beauty. In the Assassin's Creed universe, it is said that he was the son of Zeus, (one of Those Who Came Before) and a mortal woman, Danaë, who he impregnated by appearing as a golden shower. It is known he was in possession of the Piece of Eden, the Sword.
