A 5th century BCE mural featuring Patroklos

Patroklos, also spelled Patroclus, was a hero of the Trojan War, as recounted in Homer's Iliad. The city of Opous in Lokris, Greece, was regarded as his home.

Considered the closest friend and lover of the hero Achilles, Patroklos was said to have appeared as a ghost to him.[1]
