Annis was an Anglo-Saxon woman who lived in late 9th century Ledecestrescire, England.
At some point, Annis became acquainted with Tarquin. She convinced him to roleplay a thegn keeping her prisoner in a tower. Annis' cries caught the attention of Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir, who fought Tarquin until he yielded and left. Annis then convinced Eivor to stick around for a bit, guarding her tower, but once again her cries attracted attention, and Eivor was forced to fight passing soldiers. After a couple of fights, Eivor left Annis unguarded in her tower.[1]
