Padarn Beisrudd ap Tegid (lit. Paternus of the Scarlet Robe, son of Tegid), a Romano-British of high rank and was the son of Tegid ap Iago. He born sometime during the early 4th century in the Hen Ogledd ("Old North").

In Welsh mythology, Padarn was in possession of a coat said to perfectly fit any well-born nobleman, but not a servant or commoner.[1] The design of the coat was later replicated on a tablet made from a precursor material, and was later kept in Wocig, Hamtunscire.[2]
