Anton Gill, the first Oliver Bowden

Oliver Bowden is a pen-name used by two authors writing novels based on the Assassin's Creed video games.

The earliest published books in the series (encompassing the Ezio trilogy) were by Anton Gill, a Renaissance historian and author of other historical fiction. During a 2011 interview with Ubiworkshop, Gill revealed that he is an avid gamer and gains much of his inspiration for character development throughout the writing process from playing the Assassin's Creed series.[1]

Subsequent books were written by the novelist and prolific ghost-writer Andrew Holmes.[2] Following Desert Oath, the pseudonym was retired, with all authors since using their own names.
