Oinomaos was a King of Pisa and the son of the Greek god of war Ares and a forefather to the House of Atreus through his daughter Hippodameia in Greek mythology.

According to the myth, Oinomaos was forewarned that he would die at the hands of his son-in-law. Because of this, he challenged everyone who sought his daughter's hand in marriage to a chariot race, and killed them. This lasted until along came Pelops, who won thanks to the help of the god Poseidon.[1]

Oinomaos owned a residence which was located in the Valley of Olympia, northeast of Sanctuary of Olympia in Elis.[2]
