Obelia (died in 420s BCE) was a pirate who worked in Keos during the Peloponnesian War.
During the Peloponnesian War Obelia ran a scam of hiring mercenaries to help her get an ancient Minoan treasure within the ruins south of Keos.[1] This lasted until the Spartan misthios Kassandra managed to fight the sharks and recover the treasure. When Kassandra met Obelia on the latter's trireme, Obelia refused to pay her, and instead sought to kill Kassandra. In self-defence, Kassandra slew Obelia.[2]
